The Calcutta Emmanuel school serves the poorest of the poor children in Kolkata (West Bengal, India). They are given holistic growth opportunities through education and personal development to help them reach their full potential.
Our children come from families that struggle to have one meal a day. But they too have a deep desire to be educated, to have better opportunities, to improve their living conditions and develop into healthy individuals with values and goals not only to be able to stand on their own feet but also to break free from the cycle of poverty and illiteracy.
The Calcutta Emmanuel School offers the children an open door and safe environment to achieve this and also broaden their horizons. We hope that these children will lead their communities out of that same cycle of poverty.
